蛇尾纲真蛇尾目的1科,通称阳遂足。重要特征是颚顶各有明显成对的齿下口棘。颚旁各有1～3个与齿下口棘相连或不相连的口棘。口棘数目和排列是阳遂足科分类的重要依据。世界已知约400种,中国约40种（见图）。
阳遂足通常钻在沙泥底下，行底内生活。洞深一般为10厘米。腕多数细长，末稍露在外边捕捉食物，包括有机物的碎屑、小蠕虫、小幼贝、小甲壳类等。分布广，数量多，常成群栖息，有时布满海底。移动能力很小。
本科在印度 - 西太平洋区有9个属：阳遂足属(Am-phiura)、矮雄蛇尾属(Amphilycus)、三棘蛇尾属 (Am-phiodia)、倍棘蛇尾属(Amphioplus)、双鳞蛇尾属(Am-phipholis)、粗毛蛇尾属 (Dougaloplus)、盘棘蛇毛属(Ophiocentrus)、标总蛇尾属(Ophiostigma) 和疣鳞蛇尾属(Paracrocnida)。
