【来源】
为爵床科植物柔刺草的全草。
【植物形态】
柔刺草 披散草本。茎具细致纵纹，嫩枝被短茸毛。叶披针形或卵状披针形，略弯曲呈镰状，长4～11厘米，全缘或有齿。花暗红色，为下垂的聚伞花序生于枝顶，苞片和小苞片均小，线形；萼片5，线状锥尖；花冠管长，肢2唇形；雄蕊2。蒴果长椭圆形，长约0.5厘米，有短柄；种子4颗。 生于疏林或灌丛中。分布我国南部及西南。
【采集】
夏、秋采。
【性味】
《中草药植物》："甘平。"
【功用主治】
治黄疸型肝炎，跌打骨折，风湿疼痛。 ①《广西药植名录》："调经，去瘀，消肿，止痛。治跌打骨折，贫血，黄疸，风湿。" ②《中草药植物》："有清肝利胆作用，治疗黄疸和肝炎腹水。"
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，1～3钱。外用：捣敷或煎水洗。
