补充资料：孟珙(1195～1246)
南宋灭金抗蒙名将。字璞玉。枣阳（今属湖北）人。孟珙出身将门，其曾祖父孟安曾服役于岳飞军中，有战功。自宋宁宗嘉定十年(1217),随父孟宗政出入行阵,屡败金军。宋理宗宝庆元年(1225)后，历任权神劲左、右军统制,权管忠顺军等。绍定六年(1233),率军破金将武仙等军，授鄂州（今湖北武汉市武昌）、江陵府（今属湖北）副都统制,与江海率兵会合蒙古军,围蔡州（今河南汝南）。端平元年(1234)，孟珙军首先登城，破蔡州，金亡。后升任建康府（今江苏南京）都统制、主管侍卫马军行司公事等职务。三年，孟珙军于蕲州（今湖北蕲春）、江陵府等地击退蒙古军的进犯。嘉熙元年(1237)，孟珙任鄂州诸军都统制，救援黄州（今湖北黄冈）等地，率所部奋战，击败蒙古大将忒木、口温不花所部。此后，历任京湖安抚制置副使、安抚制置使、大使、四川宣抚使、夔路制置大使、策应大使等。孟珙坐镇江陵,主持京西、湖北路等地军务，招抚北方各族壮士，编组新军，大兴屯田，兴修水利,创建书院，部署纵深防御,采取以攻为守的战术，出兵攻袭蒙古占领区砦栅，焚烧仓库积聚，驱逐襄阳、樊城（今湖北襄樊）、信阳军（今属河南）等处蒙古军，又分兵增援淮南和四川，于嘉熙三年和淳祐二年(1242)击退四川方面蒙古军的进攻，使京湖和四川间的长江通道得以保全。淳祐六年，孟珙病卒。孟珙智勇兼备，知人善任，长于驭军，为南宋后期的杰出名将。
