由酒精中毒引起肝脏疾病，主要有酒精性脂肪肝、酒精性肝炎及肝硬化。酒精性脂肪肝是因乙醇在肝内代谢为乙醛及乙酸时，辅酶Ⅰ转变为还原辅酶Ⅰ增加，抑制三羧酸循环，肝内脂肪酸合成增多而致脂肪肝。酒精性肝炎为肝细胞肿胀，线粒体变形，胞质中出现乙醇透明小体，肝细胞变性，周围纤维化。严重者可出现小结节性肝硬化。临床常表现为肝肿大，常与病变程度相关，轻者无症状，重者可有肝炎表现。肝硬化者除有一般肝硬化表现外，还有慢性酒精中毒引起的掌挛缩和脑病等表现。无特异性治疗，以高热量平衡饮食、护肝、补充维生素等；肝硬化则同其他肝硬化一样处理。
