【粉尘爆炸】可燃物质的粉尘比之原来的块状固体具有较低的自燃点，在适当的条件下，着火之后它的粉尘粒子的燃烧急剧传播，在瞬间以爆炸速度完成整个燃烧过程。粉尘爆炸的危险性，主要是由粉尘爆炸极限浓度、燃点、最低点火能量、燃烧热度、粉尘爆炸的最高压力、压力上升速度以及在空气中氧化的极限浓度等决定。粉尘爆炸的极限浓度也受颗粒大小及其形状的影响。 粉尘爆炸可以产生两次爆炸。因为初始爆炸的气浪会将沉积的粉末飞扬起来，在新的空间形成更多的爆炸混合物而再次爆炸，这种连续爆炸会造成极严重的破坏。
