| 罗丹(1840～1917) Rodin，Auguste 法国雕塑家。1840年11月12日生于巴黎，1917年11月17日卒于默东。早年学绘画，后拜动物雕塑家A.L.巴里为师，1871年协助卡里埃 -贝勒斯制作布鲁塞尔商会和比利时学院的装饰雕塑。1875年意大利之行，米开朗琪罗的作品使其大开眼界，从此摆脱了学院派的表现程式，确立了自己的创作方法。最重要的作品是为巴黎装饰艺术博物馆大门及西侧门框作的浮雕，这个包括186个人体的作品，分别表现青春、恋情和地狱生活的悲惨与痛苦，耗去了他37年的时间，最后由于种种原因虽未完成，但围绕这个构思的许多作品，却是他留下的一笔宝贵艺术遗产，如《思想者》、《乌戈利诺和他的儿子们》、《吻》、《永恒的偶像》等。另一件重要作品《加莱义民》颂扬6位义民的爱国主义精神，重在刻画人物个性和复杂的心理状态，为他赢得了世界声誉。他还为雨果、巴尔扎克等作过胸像和纪念碑，作品均具有浪漫主义和现实主义的特点。其雕塑手法和构思，丰富了雕塑艺术的表现领域，对欧洲现代雕塑的发展产生了不可低估的影响。罗丹的作品曾于1993年在中国的北京、上海展出。
