.【管理信息与信息系统】一个组织要生存和发展离不开信息的支持，尤其在科学技术高度发展的今天更是如此。为了维持正常生产经营和在对重大事件进行决策过程中，所需要的各种信息都可称之为管理信息。 任何组织和部门都无可置疑地把管理信息作为组织必不可少的财富。 管理信息具有广泛的意义。大到国家宏观经济管理信息，小到一个企业内部管理信息;管理信息既可以是综合性的管理信息，也可以是为某一特定职能服务的管理信息。不同的管理层次，不同的管理部门对管理信息有着不同的要求，一般按照管理决策功能层次对管理信息进行分类，如下图所示。上层管理信息种类特征一决策管理信息预侧功能中层一定期综合管理信息管理控制事务处理层一日常业务活动管理信息事务处理若层管理活动层次与信息分类图上述管理层次称为管理金字塔，它表明越往上层，决策的特征越明显，其管理信息也无一定规律可循且多具有偶然性和预测性，因此，信息的获取就更加复杂。越往下层其管理信息的来源主要来自企业自身内部且相对固定，其主要作用是为企业正常的生产和销售活动提供控制和支持，每一层管理信息同时都要为上一层管理系统提供支持。 从上面对管理决策层次与相应管理信息特征的分析可知，不论哪一层的管理信息，其信息的组成与作用都是与系统有关的。从一般意义上来说，系统是由若干相互联系、相互作用的要素所构成的具有特定功能的有机整体。从属于更大系统的任何系统都统称为子系统，而系统本身又包含诸多要素，这些要素相对该系统来说是子系统。每一管理层次既有人、财、物等要素组成的实体系统，又有包含诸多方面信息要素的信息系统。例如一个城市教育管理信息系统就包含全日制普通学校教育信息、成人教育信息、组织人事信息、学生学员信息等等。而学校教育信息又包含大、中、小、幼教育信息、专业信息等等。
