【阴】
 (术语)谓色声等之有为法也。其解释诸师各异。天台谓阴有二义:一阴者荫覆之义,谓色声等之有为法荫覆真理也。二积聚之义,谓色声等之有为法积聚生死之苦果也。止观五上曰:“阴者阴盖善法,此就因得名。又阴是积聚,生死重沓,此就果得名。”净影取积聚之一义。大乘义章八本曰:“积聚名阴,阴积多法故。”是言色声等之有为法,多法积聚而为体也。已上二家皆为旧译,梵语塞建陀Skandha之译语也。然新译以译之为蕴,解积聚之义。为且视旧译之阴字为阴阳之阴,因许积聚之义不许阴覆之义。若为阴覆之义,则梵语云钵罗婆陀。慈恩之义林章五本曰:“梵云塞建陀,唐言蕴,旧译名阴(于禁反)。此阴是阴覆义。若言荫者,梵本应云钵罗婆陀,案阴音应以于今反,阴阳之阴也(阴阳之阴,是阴积之义)。但仁王经曰:“色名色蕴,心名四蕴,皆积聚性,隐覆真性。”又中论疏四末曰:“阴者阴杀也,其义主杀。以此五法能害慧命,是故经中喻旃陀罗。”是如天台之释,有荫覆之义。名义集六曰:“蕴谓积聚,古翻阴,阴乃盖覆,积聚有为,盖覆真性。”
