A kind of amphoteric surfactant with main structure of Sodium N-Dodecyl-β-Aminopropionate was synthesized in this paper, then it was treated as a new type of dyeing brightening agent to act with different types of leather dyestuffs and their absorbency was made to determine its assistant properties using spectrophotometer.
