| 火山口湖 Crater Lake 美国最深的湖。位于俄勒冈州西南部，喀斯喀特山脉南段。被冰川覆盖的古火山锥马扎马火山于更新世晚期喷发时形成的破火山口，经风化和侵蚀后扩大积水而成。呈圆形，直径10千米，面积54平方千米。湖面海拔1882米。最大深度589米。湖面变动小，湖水清澈，呈深蓝色。由于火山多次喷发，形成若干火山锥，部分出露湖面即成为小岛。如最大的威扎德岛，高出湖水面213米，顶部有一火山口。湖周为高150～600米的熔岩峭壁，火山岩经风化后呈各种形状，加上湖区松、杉林茂密，夏季野花丛生，景色幽美，已于1902年辟为国家公园，有鹿、熊、鹰、猫头鹰等野生动物。湖中有鱼。 |
