锥体外运动系的主要神经结构之一。包括豆状核和尾状核。后者又分为壳和苍白球。从发生和纤维联系上看,尾状核和壳属于新纹状体,苍白球属旧纹状体。豆状核的头端和尾状核头是相连的,在相连处和豆状核内部都有神经纤维进行联系,形成灰白相间的条纹,这种形态在半球中部的水平切面上十分清楚,故将尾状核和豆状核合称纹状体。一般将纹状体看成是大脑皮质下行传导束的重要中继核。其功能有:①维持肌肉的正常张力;②肌肉运动时保持肌群的协调和相对稳定。临床上纹状体病变所产生的症状和体征可归纳为两类。一类肌张力紊乱,多表现为肌张力升高而引起运动迟缓,面部表情过少(面具脸)。另一类运动障碍,常常出现不自主的运动,如震颤、手足徐动和舞蹈症。此类动作往往在情绪激动时增多增强,而在安睡时消失。
