In order to reveal the status and its effect of cropland destroyed by coal mining in overlapped areas of farmland and coal resources calling for attentions to those particular areas,the paper,taking Jining City as an example,engages in analysis and calculation systematically by adopting the theory of mining subsidence,the surveying method and the ever ratio of subsidence land.

This paper presented the concept of the overlapped areas of crop and mineral production.

The thesis summar ized achievements since agricultural development in main grain producing area comprehensively, and analyzed contradiction and problems facing agricultural development, meanwhile,stated the train of thought of agricultural development in main grain producing area at the beginning of 21st century, and the ways and measures to deal with it.
