沼泽土 bog soil 发育于长期积水并生长喜湿植物的低洼地土壤。其表层积聚大量分解程度低的有机质或泥炭,土壤呈微酸性至酸性反应;底层有低价铁、锰存在。沼泽土分布,以寒带森林苔原和温带森林草原地区较集中。中国主要分布于东北、青藏高原和新疆北部山地,以三江平原、川西北高原的松潘草地较集中。沼泽土的形成包括两个成土过程:表层喜湿植物残体因土壤水分过多、通气不良、土温较低、微生物活动弱而不能迅速彻底分解,致使有机质积聚形成泥炭或腐殖质层;下层由于土壤长期渍水形成水溶性低价铁、锰化合物,形成潜育层。中国境内的沼泽土分5个亚类:①草甸沼泽土。土壤湿润,地表无积水,表层有机质较多,下部为潜育层。②腐殖质沼泽土。地表有短期积水,有机质含量较高,泥炭积聚不明显,下部为潜育层。③泥炭腐殖质沼泽土。地表常有积水,表层有泥炭积聚,下部潜育层明显。④泥炭沼泽土。地表常有积水,泥炭积聚较多,下部潜育层发育良好。⑤泥炭土。地表常年积水,泥炭层发育良好,下层为潜育层。沼泽土可作农田、林地或牧场,但必须通过改良,以消除过多的水分和由此产生的不良性状。沼泽土剖面主要改良措施有:系统排水;浅沟筑台排水;大量施入矿质土壤;增施磷钾肥和微量元素肥;发展水田或种苇养鱼。
