Catalyzed by compound containing PO covalent bond, carbodiimide oligomer was synthesized from MDI, then intermediate was capped by compound containing hydroxyl, in the end, MDI based hydrolyze resistant reagent was produced.

A series liquefied MDI (carbodiimide modified MDI) containing different amount of carbodiimide and uretoinime were synthesized by controlling carbodiimide conversion, samples were analysized by gel chromatogram, by the same time, all peaks in GPC spectrum were detected and determined their corresponding component by infrared spectrum.

The carbodiimides 2, obtained from aza-Wittig reactions of vinyl iminophosphorane 1 with aromatic isocyanates, reacted with hydrazine to give 1-amino-2-arylamino-4-arylidene-4,5-dihydro-imidazol-5-ones (4).

Further aza-Wittig reactions of iminophosphorane 3 with aromatic isocyanates gave the carbodiimides 4, which were reacted with secondary amines to give 2-dialkylamino-thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4(3H)-ones 6 in the presence of catalytic amounts of EtO-Na+ in 58%～82% .

The carbodiimides 3,obtained from aza-Wittig reactions of iminophosphorane 2 with aromatic iso-cynate,reacted with various arylthiols to give eight new 2-arylthio substituted 4H-imidazolin-4-ones 5a~5h.
