释慧进。姓姚。吴兴人。少而雄勇任性游侠。年四十忽悟心自启。遂尔离俗止京师高座寺。蔬食素衣誓诵法华。用心劳苦。执卷辄病。乃发愿。愿造法华百部以悔先障。始聚得钱一千六百。时有劫来问进有物不。答云。唯有造经钱在佛处。群劫闻之赧然而去。于是聚集信施。得以成经。满足百部。经成之后病亦小差。诵法华一部得过情愿既满。厉操愈坚。常回诸福业愿生安养未亡少时忽闻空中声曰。汝所愿已足。必得生西方也。至齐永明三年无病而卒。春秋八十有五。时京师龙华寺复有释僧念诵法华金光明。蔬食避世。
