| 宜兴市 位于中国江苏省南端，太湖西岸。1990年人口106.7万，其中非农业人口20.1万。汉族为主，有回、彝、壮、布依、满、蒙古、朝鲜、土家、畲等28个少数民族。面积2039平方千米。历史上名称屡有变更，至北宋太平兴国元年（976）更名宜兴县。清雍正四年（1726）析置荆溪县。1912年荆溪并入宜兴县。1988年撤县设宜兴市。矿产资源主要有陶土、煤、石灰石、大理石，野生动物有鹿、豹、穿山甲、鸳鸯等，珍稀植物有金钱松、楠、天目玉兰、青冈、土叶树及茶、竹等，中药材有杜仲、太子参、明党参等。土特产品有宜兴陶瓷、百合、徐舍小酥糖、板栗、和桥老油豆腐。名胜古迹有善卷洞、张公洞、国山碑、周处庙、太平天国王府、东坡书院等。 |
