性质:又称2,3-二巯基丙-1-醇,双硫代甘油。无色或几乎无色的液体,具有令人作呕、似同硫醇的蒜臭气。密度1.25g/cm3。冰点>110℃。沸点68~70℃(13.3Pa)。折射率n201.5731。溶于水,极易溶于甲醇、乙醇或苯甲酸苄酯,不溶于脂肪油。水溶液不稳定,配成10%油溶液供用。可以丙烯醇为原料制得。为防化学武器(路易氏试剂)剂。也为由汞和砷化合物及金、锑、镉、铊等重金属引起的中毒症在临床上所用的解毒药物。制剂有针剂。
