A new tripodal aryl amide type ligand,1,1,1-tris{[(2′-benzylaminoformyl)phenoxyl]methyl}-p-toluene sulfonyl aminomethane,and its Eu(NO_3)_3,Tb(NO_3)_3 complexes have been synthesized.

Coordination polymer {[La(NO3)3]2·L3}n {L= 1,4-bis{[2'-(benzylaminocarbonyl)-phenoxyl]-methyl} benzene has been synthesized by the reaction of an aryl amide type bis-monodentate ligand and La(NO3)3·6H2O, and the crystal structure of this complex has been characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis.
