性质:白色单斜结晶。密度1.679g/cm3。易溶于水,微溶于丙酮,不溶于醇、乙醚。强烈吸湿(吸湿点约为64%)。高于50℃时,其浓溶液分解并析出硫。于150℃时分解,生成亚硫酸铵;硫黄、氨、硫化氢及水。由碳酸氢铵与二氧化硫和水作用生成亚硫酸铵,经过滤除去杂质,再与硫黄加热煮沸再过滤,蒸发,冷却结晶;离心分离制得;亦可用亚硫酸铵与多硫化铵反应;滤除硫黄,冷冻结晶,离心分离制得。用作照相定影剂;金属清净剂,医药杀菌剂-,分析试剂;可用于电镀,铝镁合金浇铸保护剂。
