ased on 1∶50,000 regional geological surveying of Hanyuan,Ganluo and other sheets,this paper conducts research on biostratigraphic sequence,fossil occurrence,fossil assemblage of the Paleozoic sedimentary cover in the sheets, establishing 23 fossil assemblages (zones)

The present paper deals in detail with the attitudes and occurrences of the biostratigraphic sequences and fossils from the sedimentary cover exposed in the Jinpingshan region along the western margin of the Xikang Yunnan axis,southwestern China in the light of the regional geological surveying of the 1∶50000 Lawoxiang and Lizhuang sheets.

The sequence biostratigraphy is a multidiscipline integrated sequence stratigraphy with biostratigraphy.

On the basis of the above study and other latest research advancements,the authors integrated and synthesized the macrofossil features and assemblages of the Upper Neoproterozoic strata in South China and brought forward the biostratigraphic successions as well.
