性质:该品为白色或淡黄色晶体。熔点为123℃,沸点164℃(1.47kPa)。溶于水、乙醇和乙醚,难溶于苯和汽油。暴露于空气和日光下,颜色逐渐变黑。

制备方法:以间氨基苯磺酸为原料,经碱熔、酸化而得。将间氨基苯磺酸用水搅拌成浆状,加热至60℃,滴加烧碱溶液,使pH为7-8,过滤得间氨基苯磺酸钠盐溶液。在碱熔锅内投入固碱或液碱,加热熔化或蒸浓,在275℃逐步加入间氨基苯磺酸钠盐溶液。加毕,继续保持275℃反应75min。将物料稀释于亚硫酸钠洗液中,过滤分离亚硫酸钠。分离亚硫酸钠后的间氨基苯酚钠溶液在50℃以下加入31%盐酸至中性。降温到35℃,析出粗间氨基酚,过滤,将滤饼加入蒸馏锅,真空蒸馏,馏出的精制间氨基苯酚经制片机得片状产品。收率60%。工业品间氨基苯酚为白色结晶,熔点119-123℃,含量≥98%。

用途:染料中间体,用于制造偶氮染料,也可用于毛皮染料,如毛皮棕EG、毛皮黄EG等。医药中间体,用于生产抗结核药对氨基水杨酸。也用于生产抗氧剂、稳定剂、显影剂和彩色胶片,还用于头发染色等。
