In order to investigate the role of viral macrophage inflammatory protein-II(vMIP-II) on the internalization and modulation of the surface chemokine receptor CXCR4,laser scanning confocal microscopy and flow cytometry were used to determine the quality and quantity of CXCR4 internalization,and the characteristics of Ca~(2+) ion influx was detected by spectrofluorophotometer.
