酞菁蓝BGS的结构式相当复杂，分子量575．54，深蓝色粉末。不溶于水、醇及烃类，溶于98％的硫酸中，在浓硫酸中为橄榄绿色有优良的耐光性、耐热性和耐溶剂性。耐晒7～8级，耐热200 ℃，耐酸l级，耐碱1级，水渗性1级，石蜡渗性1级，油渗性1级，吸油量(60土5)％。分散容易，不迁移。
