用铁磁流体封堵泄漏通道的半流体动密封(见图)。Fe3O4·CrO2等铁磁性超细微粒悬浮在低挥发性的液体中,形成铁磁流体。将铁磁流体置于密封间隙中,在磁场力作用下铁磁流体能形成强韧的液体膜,借以阻止泄漏。磁流体密封常用于密封气体,适用于密封高真空系统。它可用于高速,但不耐高温和高压。
