性质:又称杜香醇,喇叭茶醇,喇叭茶脑,矶踯躅叶脑。在自然界主要存在于某些马兜铃科(Aristolochiaceae)、马兜铃属(Aristolochia)和杜鹃花科(Ericaceae)、杜香属(Ledum)类植物叶子中,如杜香或称喇叭茶(Ledum palustre L.)和该属内的L. qroenlandicum Veder L.和L. columbianum Piper等植物。通常从上述植物叶中蒸馏、纯化获得。从乙醇析出的为针状结晶。它即使温度低于熔点(104~105℃)也能升华。沸点:292℃(101.32kPa)。旋光度+28º(c=10,在氯仿中)。折射率,1.4667。实际上不溶于水,能溶于10%(质量/体积)乙醇中,也溶于别的有机溶剂。它是植物中精油(essential oil)之一。主要用于化学试剂和制备铬酸酯化合物,即C30H50·O4Cr舶熔点92℃。旋光度+30º(c=2,在氯仿中)。
