【植物形态】
山一笼鸡 多年生草本，高20～45厘米。茎丛生，方形，有节，茎、叶密被倒生短毛或长绵毛。叶对生，有短柄；叶片椭圆形，长2.5～4厘米，宽1～2厘米，两端尖，全缘。花腋生，有总苞片4枚，每苞内有花2朵，花蓝色；萼5片；花冠筒上部膨大，5裂。 生于草坡。分布贵州、广西、广东、江西，云南等地。

夏、秋采收。
【性味】
辛微苦，凉。
【功用主治】
发汗解表，清肺止咳。
