水团 water mass 源地和形成机制相近,具有相对均匀的物理性质、化学性质和生物特征,且有大体一致的变化趋势,而与周围海水存在明显差异的宏大水体。海洋中绝大多数的水团都是先在表层获得初始特征,然后逐步发展形成的。 在中纬度海区,沿铅直方向可将海洋分成表层、次表层、中层、深层和底层5个基本水层。每个基本水层在各大洋的不同海域,可再分成几个不同的水团。中纬度海域的表层水团具有很大的季节变化。次表层厚度一般为200~300米,其中的水团可分成中央水团、亚南极水团和亚北极水团3类。中层水团分布于次表层之下,深达1000~1500米的水层之内。深层水团位于中层水团之下至4000米深的范围内。大洋底层水团主要是在南极大陆架海区形成的南极底层水团散布的结果。在浅海区域,水团变性特别强烈。 |
