性质:进行合成反应的一种设备。应用于氨、氯化氢、甲醇、尿素等的合成和重油的加氢等。它的结构、材料和形式随反应物和反应条件而不同。例如氨合成塔(ammonia synthesis converter)是耐高温高压的圆筒形金属设备,可分为内部换热式、多层中间换热式和多层中间冷激式三种。目前较常用的氨合成塔是内部换热式(见图),上半部为催化剂筐,下半部分为换热器,中有分气盒。进塔冷气(含氨量很少)与经催化反应后的热气(含氨量较多)在换热器内换热。冷气经分气盒至催化剂层内配置的冷管,较冷的气体通过管内,带走催化剂层内的反应热而本身则被预热至适当温度,然后进入催化剂层进行合成。按照冷管的结构特点的不同又有单管、双套管等多种。下部换热器也有列管式、螺旋板式等多种。
