斜织机织造机器 江苏泗洪曹庄出土的涨代画像石上刻着“慈母投杼图”,图上有脚踏提综斜织机的型制。这促斜织机已经有了一个机架,经面和水平的机座成五六十度的倾角。这样改进以后,操作的人既可以坐着织造,又可以一目了然地看到开口后经面上的经线张力是否均匀,经线有无断头。更重要的是斜织机已装经采用脚踏提综的开口装置。在图中可以看到织工们用脚踏一长一短的两块踏板(杆)分别带动综线。当脚踏动提综踏板的时候,被踏板牵动的绳索牵拉“马头”(提综摆杆,前大后小,开似马头),前仰后仰,就使得综线上下交替,把经纱分成上下两层,形成一个三角形的强织口。实行手脚并用,用双脚代替了手得综的繁重动作,这们就能使左右手更迅速有效地用在引纬和打纬的工作上。斜织机的生产率比原始织机一般可以提高十倍以上,可以大幅度地提高布帛产量。据史籍记载,战国时期诸侯间馈赠的丝绸数量,比春秋时期高得多。秦汉之际,斜面织机在我国黄河流域的广大地区已经比较普遍,在农村中广泛地采用了这种脚踏提综的织机。从图中还可以看到一把将要落地的两头尖的梭子。利用这小巧玲珑的梭子,来往穿引纬纱,进一步提高了织造的速度,是织布工具的重大革新之一,一直为后世所沿用。
