补充资料：乌苏温泉
塔城地区境内有温泉4处，其中沙湾、乌苏两处温泉，周围自然环境幽静，风景优美，是游览、疗养的胜地。乌苏县温泉位于乌苏县城南面38公里的待甫僧林场附近的风景秀丽的天山山坳中，青松绿树，鲜花碧草，令人心旷神怡。自然溢出的水，温度高达37c，在该温泉以西100米处还有一个泉，水温高达44.5℃。温泉水中含有硫酸钠，对皮肤病、关节炎、风湿症、高血压和某些妇科病等有明显疗效。
入夏后，这里青山环抱，绿树成荫，山顶青松直挺云端、薄雾绩绕；乌苏矿泉，似一颗明珠镶嵌在山腰上；山前山后，蒙古包星罗棋布，绿草铺地；日映山峦，云蒸霞蔚，满谷生辉，堪称是风景优美、气候宜人的胜景。每年6、7、8三个月，是温泉疗养沐浴的黄金季节，中外旅游者和进行温泉疗养的病人慕名而来，络绎不绝。
乌苏县从50年代就开始利用该泉水，1978年修建了有100个床位的疗养院，每月可接待500人左右。独山子矿区也在此处修建了一所有40张床位的疗养所。15天为一个疗程，每月可接待400人左右。
