性质:以铝或铝合金为基体,以碳化硼(B4C)颗粒增强的复合材料。B4C的比强度(9.9×106cm)和比模量(20.9×109cm)高,抗氧化可到1100~1400℃,相对密度2.52g/cm3,维氏硬度3700MPa,是优异的增强体。B4C与Al的密度差小、润湿性好、反应小,所以该复合材料中B4C颗粒易分布均匀,界面结合好,综合性能高。如含30%(质量)B4C的A1-4Mg基复合材料的拉伸强度σb≈234MPa,屈服强度σ0.2≈200MPa,弹性模量90GPa,均比基体材料性能高很多。该类复合材料适用于要求具有良好的高温强度和耐磨性的部件。
