  谓行人于禅定中,所得定根清净,就中所证之相,亦有三品不同。若于坐禅之时,忽觉身心澄静,发诸禅定,觉观分明,喜乐一心,即是下品定根净相。若于坐禅之时,身心安定,觉出入息长短细微,遍身毛孔出入无阂;或见自身诸不净相,因发禅定,身心快乐,寂然正受,即是中品定根净相。若于坐禅之时,身心安静,缘自五阴之身,即觉无常苦空梦幻不实,乃至一切诸法不生不灭,犹如虚空,寂静无为;厌离世间,悯念一切,即是上品定根净相。此之三品,总为中根行者所证之相。(五阴者,色阴、受阴、想阴、行阴、识阴也。)
