According to the organic carbon mass balance principle during the process of the hydrocarbon generation and expulsion within unit volume of source rocks,one variable quadratic equation of expulsion coefficient was derived through six separate algebraic equations based on the data of source rock extrusion and rock-eval.

Reservoir-forming conditions of low and inner buried hills were studied in aspects of basement tectonic activity,type of buried hills,lithology and reservoir characteristics,hydrocarbon generating system and hydrocarbon conducting system.
