性质:又称钢梁。指其断面形状为工字形的钢材,其规格用高度表示。分普通工字钢、轻型工字钢和宽腿工字钢。前两种工字钢目前生产的规格为10~70cm。在相同高度下,轻型的比普通的腿窄、腰薄、重量轻。宽腿工字钢的断面特点是两腿平行,腿的内侧没有斜度。它属于经济断面型钢,是在四辊万能型钢轧机上轧制的,所以也叫万用工字钢。工字钢广泛地应用于建筑或其他金属结构。
