形态特征子实体中等大。菌盖直径4-10cm，初期扁半球形，后平展中部下凹，浅灰色带紫色至浅灰褐色，潮湿时粘。菌肉白色，受伤处及乳汁变紫色，味辛辣。菌褶白色，受伤处变紫色，密，直生至近延生，不等长，褶间具横脉，靠近柄基部分叉。菌柄近柱形，长3-8cm，粗0.8-1.5cm，空心，有时基部稍膨大。孢子印白色或淡乳黄色。孢子近球形至宽椭圆形，具小刺或网棱，无色，50-75μm×8-9.1μm。褶侧囊体梭形，无色，50-75μm×8.7-12.6μm。

生态习性夏秋季在混交林地上成群或单个生长。
分布地区四川吉林湖北黑龙江
经济用途可食用，但也有报导有毒。含胃肠道刺激物，食后会产生消化系统不舒等反应。另外子实体含橡胶物质。与壳斗科的一些树木形成菌根。
