    硼的含氧酸。氧化硼与水的化合物。共有4种:正硼酸(H3BO3 、焦硼酸( H6B4O9 )、偏硼酸( HBO2 )和四硼酸(H2B4O7)。正硼酸通常简称硼酸 ,为白色晶体,可用硼砂和盐酸的反应制取  :Na2B4O7+2HCl+5H2O=4H3BO3+2NaCl正硼酸分子中虽然有3个氢原子,但却是一元弱酸,25℃时电离常数为5.8×10-10。在常温下溶解度不大,但在高温时剧增,107℃时100克水中可溶解37克。正硼酸加热至100℃转变为偏硼酸,160℃变为四硼酸,在更高温度则成玻璃状B2O3。硼酸与甲醇反应生成挥发性的硼酸甲酯,火焰呈绿色,用于鉴定硼化合物。硼酸用作搪瓷和玻璃工业的釉料。能抑制霉菌生长,用作消毒剂,特别是洗涤眼睛。
