There is recommended a new method to synthesize alkyl phenol polyoxyethylene ether carboxylate (abbreviated as APEC- m, m -degree of polymerization, belonging to 2, 4, 6, 8) surfactant from alkyl phenol polyoxyethylene ether (OP-4), chloroacetic acid (CEA) and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) by using acetone as the solvent.
