补充资料：安西桥湾古城
位于安西县城北85公里处的甘新公路右侧，是一座残破的清代古城。这里东连嘉峪关，南望祁连山，北通蒙古，西接新疆，是丝路上的一大枢纽。桥湾城坐落在疏勒河畔，疏勒河上原有桥曰"天生桥"，车水马龙，行人不断，这里随河水自然弯曲而叫桥湾。桥湾古城始建于清雍正十年（1732年），为一军事据点。清同治元年（1862年）因回民暴动，城失民逃，城址遂废弃。现城址东西长320米，南北宽122米，残高5-8米，四角有角墩，城内有房屋建筑等遗迹。城南矗立着两棵古老的胡杨树，在朔风中摇曳。今天，游人在敦煌至嘉峪关途中，可做短暂停留，参观古城遗址，并品尝安西瓜果，稍事休息。桥湾还设有博物馆，内陈列有各种戈壁野生动物标本、干尸和80多件文物精品，其中有稀世珍宝象牙佛的复制品，有神奇传说的人皮鼓、人头碗、八仙拐仗等文物。在桥湾约需停留半个小时即可。
