  低温是指利用药物或辅以物理方法使体温降低至一定程度,以降低体内特别是重要器官的代谢和耗氧,增加机体对缺氧的耐受力。体外循环是将静脉血引到体外人工心肺机的氧合器(人工肺)内进行氧合,使之成为动脉血,再经血泵(人工心脏)送回体内动脉,从而代替心肺维持全身的血液循环和呼吸功能。低温和体外循环技术常结合使用,广泛应用于心脏外科的心脏内直视手术。
