AIM:To verify the role of a synthetic peptide in neutralizing endotoxins.

[Objective] To observe the effect of artificial liver system to eliminate serum interleukin-2(IL-2),interleukin-6(IL-6),transforming growth factorβ1(TGFβ1),tumor necrosis factor(TNF-α),and lipopolysaccharide(LPS)of severe hepatitis,and discuss the significance of artificial liver system to the treatment of severe hepatitis patients.

Meth ods: 30 Guinea pigs were randomly divided into 3 groups: burn group ,Lipopolysaccharide(LPS) treated group and normal control group.

Two histamine receptor antagonists were tested to investigate its effect of lipopolysaccharide(LPS) on body temperature of chicken and the fever mechanism by the endogenous histamine.
