【来源】
为石松科植物马尾千金草的全草。
【植物形态】
马尾千金草 多年生常绿草本，丛生。须状根短而少，除近根部密生交错的灰白色绵毛外，全体光滑无毛，柔软细长，可达1米以上，色青翠。多回2歧状分枝，外形犹如马尾。叶较厚，质软，略有蜡质亮光。叶型有两种：营养叶呈线状披针形，长约4毫米，宽不及1毫米，锐尖头，螺旋状伏生于枝及分枝上，排列紧密，背面稍隆起；孢子叶呈矩圆形或类圆形，长约2毫米，宽约1毫米，基部平截，先端尾状突尖，背面主脉隆起。孢子囊肾形，黄白色，具短柄。 生长于悬岩绝壁或生有苔藓植物的古老树桠间。
【采集】
全年可采。扎成小把，阴干。不宜直晒或火烘，否则容易脆断。
【药材】
干燥全草青绿色，细长，多分枝，质柔软光滑，略有光亮，鳞叶排列紧密，不刺手，多无根部；如有根部残留，则可见黄白色或灰白色的绵毛。以青色、干爽、长条者为佳。
【性味】
《广西中药志》："平，淡。"
【功用主治】
，舒筋，活络，祛风湿。治跌打损伤，肌肉痉挛，筋骨疼痛。 ①《民间常用草药汇编》："治跌打，腰痛。" ②《广西中药志》："舒筋活络，祛风湿。治肌肉痉挛，骨节疼痛。" ③《广西药材》："治风湿脚症，并治神经衰弱。"
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，1～3钱；或浸酒服。
