扩大炼焦煤源的炼焦方法之一。利用专门的捣固机械,将装炉煤料捣固成煤饼,然后从炭化室的一侧推入。使装炉煤料的堆密度可以增大到0.95吨/米3以上(顶装焦炉煤料堆密度一般为 0.75吨/米3左右)。捣固炼焦,对采用以胶质层厚度在11~14毫米的气煤为主的煤料,效果比较显著。
