卧式砂磨机是一种水平湿式连续性生产的超微粒分散机， 其操作简单，研磨效率高。
操作方法是将要研磨的物料与研磨 介质(介质的直径为3/32″~3/32″,通常使用研磨介质的类型有：铁素合金、玻璃、陶瓷、氧化锆、纯锆等)一起放入带有夹套 的静止研磨缸中，通过搅拌臂和分散叶片的高速作用，赋予研 磨介质足够的动能，借助高速运动的介质对物料施加剪切力和冲击力，从而获得最佳分散、研磨效果。
特殊设计的双速启动矩力马达，无需联轴器。在加料和卸 料的时候用低速，研磨时用高速。
特殊的分离装置，将被分散物与研磨介质分离排出，不必 象三滚机一样需要高度的操作技巧即可得到均衡优良的品质，可实现大批量连续式生产，大大提高了品质，又大幅降低了成本。
