性质:又称糖酵解途径或己糖二磷酸途径。是绝大多数生物所共有的一条主流代谢途径。特点是:以1分子葡萄糖为底物,经耗能和产能两阶段(约经10步反应)而产生2分子丙酮酸、2分子还原辅酶Ⅰ(NAD+H+)和2分子ATP的生化反应过程。在有氧情况下,EMP途径可与三羧酸(TCA)循环途径相连接,以把丙酮酸彻底氧化成二氧化碳和水,并释放出大量能量;在无氧条件下,丙酮酸或其进一步的代谢产物——乙醛可被还原,形成乳酸或乙醇等发酵产物。
