性质:一种处理乏燃料的高温冶金方法。基于在高于铀的熔点(1133℃)温度下,用与铀部分互溶的液态金属(如镁、银、镉和钙)来萃取分离铀、钚和裂变产物。本法的缺点是要在高温下工作,此时镁的蒸气压很高;由于银的沸点(2212℃)很高,难于和铀分离;钙因化学性质活泼,找不到合适的容器;此外,还有很多裂变产物金属保留在铀金属中。因而未得到广泛的应用。
