分子式 mAl2O3·nSiO2·xH2O CAS号 1302-78-9 性质 膨润土是一种以蒙脱石为主要矿物成分(可达85%~ 90%)的粘土岩、亦称蒙脱石粘土岩,常含少量伊利石、高岭石、埃 洛石、绿泥石、沸石、石英、长石、方解石等。一般为白色、淡黄 色,因含铁量变化又旦浅灰、浅绿、粉红、褐红、砖红、灰黑色等 。具蜡状、土状或油脂光泽。膨润土有的松散如土,也有的致密坚 硬;主要化学成分是二氧化硅、三氧化二铝和水,还含有铁、镁、 钙、钠、钾等元素,Na2O和CaO含量对膨润土的物理化学性质和工艺 技术性能影响颇大。蒙脱石矿物属单斜晶系,通常呈土状块体,白 色,有时带浅红、浅绿、淡黄等色。光泽暗淡。硬度1~2,密度2~ 3g/cm3。按蒙脱石可交换阳离子的种类、含量和层电荷大小,膨润 土可分为钠基膨润土(碱性土)、钙基膨润土(碱土性土)、天然 漂白土(酸性土或酸性白土),其中钙基膨润土又包括钙钠基和钙 镁基等。膨润土具有强的吸湿性和膨胀性,可吸附8~15倍于自身体 积的水量,体积膨胀可达数倍至30倍;在水介质中能分散成胶凝状 和悬浮状,这种介质溶液具有一定的粘滞性、能变性和润滑性;有 较强的阳离子交换能力;对各种气体、液体、有机物质有一定的吸 附能力,最大吸附量可达5倍于自身的重量;它与水、泥或细沙的掺 合物具有可塑性和粘结性;具有表面活性的酸性漂白土能吸附有色 离子。 用途 膨润土可作为粘结剂、吸附剂、填充剂、触变剂、絮 凝剂、洗涤剂、稳定剂、增稠剂等,用作化肥、杀菌剂和农药的载 体,橡胶和塑料的填料,合成树脂和油墨的防沉降助剂,颜料和原 浆涂料的触变和增稠,日用化工品的添加剂,医药的吸着剂和粘结 剂等,还广泛用于石油、冶金、铸造、机械、陶瓷、建筑、轻工、 造纸、纺织和食品等部门。
