流纹岩 rhyolite 一种酸性喷出岩。成分与花岗岩相当。灰白色或浅粉红色。常见有流纹构造和斑状玻璃质、球粒、霏细、显微文象等结构。斑晶常为石英、碱性长石,有时有少量斜长石;基质一般为致密的隐晶质或玻璃质。产状多为岩丘。脱玻化明显的流纹岩称为流纹斑岩。流纹岩在中国东南沿海各省有广泛分布,北方辽宁、内蒙古、河北、山西、山东、吉林、黑龙江也都有分布。与之有关的矿产有高岭石、蒙脱石、叶蜡石、明矾石和黄铁矿等。
