为菊科植物匐地风毛菊的全草。
【植物形态】
匐地风毛菊，又名：星状风毛菊。 多年生草本。根粗壮；根颈被棕色纤维状枯存叶柄。叶多数，覆瓦状排列，呈放射状，线状披针形，长3～12厘米，宽3～10毫米，基部增宽，红紫色。头状花序多数聚生，直径0.7～1厘米，无总梗；总苞圆柱形，总苞片常带紫色，5列，有缘毛，外列的长圆形，内列的线形；花全部管状，两性，紫色；花药蓝灰色，基部有尾，尾上具绵毛。瘦果光滑。冠毛淡褐色，羽状。花果期7～9月。 生于高山区河滩草甸及阴湿山坡。分布青海、西藏、甘肃、四川等地。

9月采，洗净晒干。

内服：煎汤，5～8钱。
