补充资料：马鞍山丹阳湖
丹阳湖，古称“巨浸”，旧名“南湖”，又称“西莲湖”。《太平府志》载：丹阳旧多红杨，一望皆丹，故曰丹杨，杨与阳同音，遂称丹阳湖。
丹阳湖位于安徽当涂县城东南部，与石臼湖相通，东南角为江苏高淳县境。古丹阳湖原为江南著名的大泽，大致成湖于二三百万年前，面积约4000平方公里。约在春秋前期，古丹阳湖逐步解体，分化出固城湖和石臼湖。唐时，丹阳湖还是烟波浩渺，水天相连的泽国。后来，由于泥沙淤积和围垦，湖面日趋缩小，据史书记载 ：“丹阳之湖三源，徽州、应天、宁国、广德诸溪所汇也。”千百年来，经过不断围垦，至解放时只有357平方公里（包括石臼湖在内）。湖身为带状，南北狭长。湖水一般深２-３米，最深处为７米。湖水会于姑孰溪，注入大江。
