肉豆蔻科Myristicaceae
常绿乔木，高20m，胸径1m。叶长椭圆形，侧脉16-18对。叶背多为粉绿色。雌雄异株。花序腋生，雄蕊花丝合成一柱，雌蕊柱头无柄。果实椭圆形，肉质。种子大，单生，有红色条裂状和假种皮。在中国主要分布于台湾兰屿和绿岛，生于海拔50-300m处。菲律宾与有分布。
